Who uses it: Insurance agents (a BMC-91X has to be filed before a grant), BOC-3 process agents, and compliance services.
Published to FMCSA Register
1,749 in 30 days · 0 on Sep 28The pending application was published in the FMCSA Register, which opens the protest period before a grant.
Who uses it: Insurance agents and compliance services: the application passed first review and the carrier is close to a grant.
Authority granted
4,985 in 30 days · 183 on Sep 28FMCSA granted operating authority. The carrier can now haul for hire across state lines.
Who uses it: Factoring companies, dispatch services, freight brokers building capacity, fuel card and load board sales.
Authority reinstated
2,545 in 30 days · 56 on Sep 28A suspended or inactive authority became active again.
Who uses it: Factoring and dispatch: a carrier restarting operations after a suspension.

Insurance filing received
14,471 in 30 days · 710 on Sep 28An insurer filed proof of coverage with FMCSA (BMC-91/91X liability, BMC-34 cargo, BMC-84/85 broker bond).
Who uses it: Competing insurers and premium finance companies: a new policy was placed, which shows the carrier's renewal date.
BOC-3 filed
0 in 30 days · 0 on Sep 28A process agent filing (BOC-3) was recorded, one of the last steps before a grant.
Who uses it: Insurance and factoring: the carrier is one step from a grant.
Involuntary suspension notice
5,841 in 30 days · 218 on Sep 28FMCSA served notice that the authority will be suspended, most often because liability insurance was cancelled. The effective date is usually about 30 days out.
Who uses it: Insurance agents re-quoting a carrier whose liability policy was cancelled, and factoring companies watching risk.
Authority suspended
1,374 in 30 days · 0 on Sep 28An involuntary suspension took effect (insurance, BOC-3 or filing cancellation).
Who uses it: Brokers and factoring companies checking who can no longer legally haul.
Authority ended

Who uses it: Brokers cleaning carrier lists; factoring companies watching accounts.
Event dates are the dates FMCSA stamped on each record. The feed also records when each event first appeared in the public files, and the daily digest keys on that, so a record FMCSA backdates still reaches you once.
